The 9th batch of interns for the Eastern Nile Flood Forecasting and Early Warning (2024 EN-FFEW) team hails from Ethiopia, South Sudan, and Sudan. The program spanned from July to September 2024, focusing on flood risk mitigation in Ethiopia, South Sudan, and Sudan. The 2024 Flood Season Internship and capacity building Program, under the EN Flood Forecasting and Early Warning (EN-FFEWS) was structured around several key activities, including training, flood forecasting, flood impact assessment, forecast model performance evaluation, and practical field visit to flood prone areas.
