Kinyeti Hydropower Project

Energy Hydro Power Plant

Overview

Summary

Kinyeti HPP, located on its namesake river, will consist of a diversion weir with accompanying sluiceway and head regulator, transiting the river"™s discharge via a 500 m long channel culminating in a bypass pipe and penstock. The penstock will then transit the discharge to the powerhouse which will be equipped with three (3) Pelton units for an installed capacity of 1.95 MW. Geographic Coordinates: 4° 1' 34" N, 32° 49' 7" E. The plant will have 3 units, Design Discharge 2.1 m3 /s, Reservoir FSL 1 272 m, Reservoir MOL 1 272 m, Total Installed Capacity 1.95 MW (3 x 0.65 MW), Firm Energy 5.8 GWh and Average Energy 9.6 GWh. The Project Costs (excl. Transmission Lines) 14.03 US$ M
