Shukoli hydropower plant

Shukoli HPP is located on the Bahr El Jebel River, 45 km downstream of Nimule, and will consist of a powerhouse equipped with five (5) 30 MW Kaplan Units located on the right bank, and a spillway structure controlled by 14 x 6.5 m wide radial gates with 10 m height. Complete river closure is ensure by a concrete gravity dam. Geographic Coordinates: 3° 54' 1" N, 31° 46' 30" E. The plant will have 5 Units, Design Discharge of 1 110 m3 /s, Reservoir FSL 540 m, Reservoir MOL 535 m, Full Storage 6 hm3, Live Storage 1.7 hm3, Total Installed Capacity 150 MW (5 x 30 MW) and Firm Energy 299 GWh and Average Energy 488 GWh.
