Funded under the World Bank-funded Irrigation for Climate Resilience Project (ICRP). In 2019, the design of the original project was revised to simplify management and reduce the project costs, and the ESIA and RAP (including all required documentation like the Integrated Pest Management Plan (IPMP) and Dam Safety Management Plan (DSMP)) were accordingly revised and updated. Dam utilization options were also re-assessed and the option of irrigation development alone, which excludes hydropower, domestic uses and livestock uses, was recommended and selected for implementation. Objectives
provide withto a other for irrigation service delivery
The project will create multi-purpose storage and equip land for irrigation. The project will benefit 200,000 people in Uganda.
