Abstract
PIP prepared in April 2008 describing the components, tasks and activities of the proposed next phase of the Flood Preparedness and Early Warning Project (FPEW II) planned to begin after the FPEW I (2007 - 10) ended. The PIP has a budget, financial and economic analyses, and a financing plan. It discusses implementation risks and their appropriate management; institutional arrangements (with plans and schedule for implementation, plans for procurement and financial management), a disbursement schedule, a framework for monitoring and evaluation, a summary of consultations, an Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) and a Resettlement Policy Framework (RPF), as per World Bank requirements. The proposed FPEW II however was not implemented, following the dispute over the Cooperative Framework Agreement (CFA) in 2010.
