This is our fourth and last issue for the year 2020. In this issue, read about the first virtual Nile Council of Ministers’ (Nile-COM) meeting. The meeting reviewed key NBI reports, plans and policies and earlier members witnessed a change in the political and technical leadership of NBI, with Rwanda taking up the role from Kenya.

The Secretariat also conducted training aimed at enhancing the capacity of Member States to prepare climate change datasets for impact studies over the Nile Basin.

  Welcome to the September 2020 issue of our quarterly newsletter.  During the period July – September 2020, the Secretariat continued to conduct its business virtually, due to the COVID 19 pandemic. Among the key accomplishments during the quarter is the official launch of the implementation of the ground water project, capacity building for officials from the Member States in river flow forecasting as well as the 54th Nile Technical Advisory Committee meeting.
