Rising sea/lake levels, floods, increasing temperatures are only but a glimpse into the global spectacle of climate change. Climate change includes both global warming driven by human emissions of greenhouse gases and the resulting large-scale shifts in weather patterns.
The 6th Nile Basin Development Forum will run a webinar stream on Adaptation to Climate Change under the theme, ‘Climate Change Adaptation over the Nile Basin’. The objective of the webinar is to prepare the Nile Basin countries to build resilience and adapt to future climate change and improve the current understanding and knowledge of the impact of climate change and explore options for sustainable water resources management.
The lead question for these webinars is ‘How to mainstream climate change adaptation and services (good management and wise use) into basin-wide planning.
