Nile Basin citizens will on 22nd February, 2016 gather in Kenya’s Vihiga County to celebrate 17 years of Nile Cooperation. The theme for this year is “Nile Cooperation: Gateway to Regional Integration”. During the celebrations at Vihiga Friends High School, NBI will use the opportunity to enhance understanding of Nile Cooperation as a catalyst for regional integration within the basin. Among the key ingredients for regional integration is a culture of dialogue, negotiation, trust and confidence. NBI has over the years promoted and entrenched these values in its efforts to facilitate Nile Cooperation.
